The 992-Gen Porsche 911 Is Coming. Soon.
- Porsche teases the next 911 GT3 with an image showing a big wing.
- The GT3 will get a naturally aspirated flat-six and double-wishbone front suspension.
- Reveal will be live-streamed on February 16 at 9:00 AM.
There’s no question that latest Porsche 911 is sharp handling and fun machine to wheel around. The top-dog Turbo and Turbo S variants aren’t too shabby, either. True track rats, however, have been holding out for the GT-variants, and for them, it looks like they won’t have to wait much longer. Porsche will pull the curtain back on the next 911 GT3 during a live-streamed event on February 16, 2021.
There’s still a lot to learn about the upcoming 911 GT3, but we do know that there will be a big wing, as hinted at in the teaser. We also know that the upcoming GT3 will carry over the naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine from the previous generation.
The upcoming GT3 will get a double-wishbone front suspension in place of MacPherson struts, more huge news for track enthusiasts.
We’ve seen expertly camouflaged 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3s running around, which will make it interesting to see how the car looks without all of Porsche’s trickery covering the bodywork.
You’ll be able to watch the reveal on February 16 at 9:00 AM ET (3:00 PM CET), here.
